Do you follow the Great Teacher, or the Great Savior? 07/26/26

In Mark 6:1–6, Jesus returns to His hometown of Nazareth, where the people are amazed by His wisdom and mighty works but allow their familiarity with Him to become a barrier to faith. Because they believe they already know who Jesus is, they refuse to recognize His true identity and surrender to His authority. Their unbelief does not diminish Jesus’ power, but it closes their hearts to what He desires to do among them. Yet their rejection does not stop His mission, as Jesus continues teaching in the surrounding villages. The message challenges us to guard against becoming so comfortable with Jesus that knowledge replaces wonder, trust, and obedience, and calls us to see Him anew as Savior and Lord.
