In this special message celebrating the installation of Tim Steele as pastor of First Baptist Church Mesquite, Ed Emmerling explores what it means to be “A Shepherd After God’s Heart.” Drawing from 1 Peter 5:1–4, he explains that a faithful pastor loves and cares for the flock that belongs to Jesus, leads willingly through personal example and faithful preaching of God’s Word, and lives for the approval of Christ, the Chief Shepherd. This message reminds both pastor and congregation that Jesus is the true leader of the church, the source of its growth, and the One whose approval matters most.
