Community Ministries

One of our mottos is, Serving God by Serving Our Community and we take this seriously. First Baptist church and its members support, encourage, and strengthen our local communities through our ministries.

InTouch

The In Touch ministry is dedicated to keeping in contact with our guests and church family and sharing God’s love. This is a ministry of the heart, and is a wonderful place to serve and get to know people.
A multifaceted Ministry that has many mini- ministries. Training is provided.

Getting in Touch-This group personally contacts visitors and invites them to come again.

Keeping in Touch-A special team who keeps in touch with those who haven’t attended church in a while to insure all is well. They also send cards, make calls and visits to make sure no one is forgotten. We keep a directory of members and regular attendees.

Some people are lonely or just love to see a friendly face and this ministry stops by and visits with people who just can’t get out. They provide conversation and can sometimes run small errands.

These members love to cook and they love to share. Some people, after surgery, an injury or an illness, just need a helping hand and this is where this group shines by sharing a meal or two.

Medical Equipment

FBC has many items helpful to surgical and convalescing patients available for short or long-term use.

We have:

  • Walkers
  • Canes & Crutches
  • Wheelchairs
  • Shower and Commode chairs

And other equipment clean and available for borrowing.

The Church office has a list of items ready to lend. Please Contact the Office to see if we have what you need in stock and available.

Hospital Visitations & Chaplaincy Program

Pastor Bill, and several other men at First Baptist Church, have been trained by and assist at Mesa View Hospital.
Our Pastor visits patients on Thursday mornings from 8am-9am and provides counseling for staff members as needed.

Inspiration Message cards, provided by FBC staff, are distributed to all hospital staff and visitors.

Please don’t hesitate to call us at 702-346-7061 if you or someone you know is in need of these services.

Transportation

Transportation is available for adults and children (with parental permission) for services and church activites.

Dedicated to reaching out to help people with transportation needs.

We at First Baptist Church do not want transportation to be a barrier to attendance. The FBC van is available every Sunday for transportation to and from church. We also have a golf cart available, so whether you need help traveling across town, or across the parking lot, we’ve got you covered.

Please contact the Church Office at least 48 hours beforehand to make arrangements.
