Sometimes a small need can become a significant burden when you do not know whom to call. Finishing Strong connects senior adults with trustworthy people who can offer encouragement, practical assistance, and helpful information.

Immediate Safety and Practical Needs

We help identify practical ways to make everyday life safer and more manageable. This may include:

  • Identifying fall hazards in the home
  • Installing or recommending grab bars and safety equipment
  • Replacing lightbulbs or smoke-detector batteries
  • Moving small items to create safer walkways
  • Helping identify transportation or meal needs
  • Connecting people with appropriate community resources

Daily Routines and Technology

Technology can help us stay connected, but it can also be frustrating and create new risks. Volunteers may assist with:

  • Learning to use a smartphone or tablet
