Serving God by Serving You

Sunday Night Worship

March 21st, The evening service saw one of our children, who has grown to be a man, come forward for a laying on of hands by the family. Virginia Luesse's son Steven is going into the Navy and today was his last day to be at church before leaving. We had a wonderful turnout of people who came to encourage and pray for Steven. As part of our evening service we celebrated the Lord's Supper together after a time of dedicated prayer for Steven.

Our Sunday Evening Worship program has been successful. We have newcomers each week as well as those who attend our morning services. Sunday evening's worship is a little more relaxed and contemporary than our morning service. Whether it's Sunday morning or Sunday evening, we'd love to have you join us for worship.

October 18, we completed our 4th night of Sunday night worship.  Having made the commitment to try this new format for 6 weeks, and see what God was going to do with it, I believe God is telling us to continue. We had 40 in attendance and though it's not about noses, we do have people coming that can't come on Sunday AM and that is encouraging for us. I also believe we will see people inviting people that may not come on Sunday morning. We will continue to let God guide and see what He has in mind.
The evening teaching was on 1 Samuel 21 where David had gotten to place in his life where his faith was wavering and he had lost his God focus. The lesson was that when things got desperate for David, where did he go? He went to Church! And with no apparent resources the priest was able to provide bread and a sword for David. The lesson was that we sometimes hold so close to the letter of the law that we forget the compassion that God calls us to for those in need.

SEPTEMBER 27th, was our kick off for our new Sunday night worship services; to accommodate those who work on Sunday mornings and those who prefer to attend an evening service. We were blessed with 34 adults and 2 children. The evening was fun filled with music, and Bible Teaching. Pastor Bill taught on "Facing our Giants" and used the example of David slaying Golaith. We looked at the giants in our lives and then studied what God had to say to us using the lessons of David...
Next Sunday October the 4th, we will continue to look at what it means to "Face our Giants" according to God's word..

If, for any reason, you can't join us on Sunday mornings, please join us Sunday Evenings at 6pm. See ya' there.
